The short version
These terms are an agreement between you and AiDEX LAB ("we", "us") about your use of Lingoop Yakgwa ("the app"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
The app is rated for ages 14 and up. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the app with the permission of a parent or guardian.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial learning. You may not:
The app, its word decks, example sentences, pictures, sounds, mascot and design belong to AiDEX LAB or its licensors and are protected by law. Some pictures are used under licence from third parties. These terms don't give you any ownership of them.
We try hard to keep words, meanings, example sentences and pronunciation accurate, but the content is provided for learning and may contain mistakes. The app does not guarantee any exam result or level of Korean.
There is no account and no cloud backup. Your progress is stored only on your phone. It is lost if you delete the app, clear its data, use Erase my progress, or move to a new phone. We can't restore it.
The app is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob: a short full-screen ad between some rounds, and optional video ads you can choose to watch (for example, to keep a streak). Ads are made by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or for what you do on sites or apps they lead to. If you see an inappropriate ad, you can report it in the app on iPhone, or write to us.
On Android you can buy a one-time purchase that removes the ads between rounds. It is not a subscription. Purchases are made through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. The purchase is linked to your Google account and can be restored with Restore a purchase on the same account.
If you turn on the daily nudge, your phone shows one notification a day at the time you pick. Phones may deliver it a little late. You can turn it off at any time.
We may update the app, change or remove features or content, or stop offering the app. We will try to give notice of major changes in the app or on its store page.
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
To the extent the law allows, AiDEX LAB is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or anything that can't be limited by law.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. If you seriously break these terms, your license ends automatically.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and AiDEX LAB, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for any claims about the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to Apple's usage rules in the App Store terms.
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date at the top, and for important changes we will also tell you in the app or on its store page. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
